Accessibility is about creating a community where everyone feels welcome and can move safely and confidently throughout Uxbridge. Whether you're a senior, a parent with a stroller, someone living with a disability, or simply enjoying a walk, our public spaces should be designed for everyone.
As a member of the Township's Accessibility Advisory Committee, I know accessibility works best when it's built into planning from the beginning. As Uxbridge grows, we must ensure new municipal facilities, parks, public spaces, and residential developments are inclusive and accessible for people of all ages and abilities.
Accessibility also means improving how we move around our community. Continuing to implement our Active Transportation Plan will strengthen sidewalks, trails, pathways, and connections between neighbourhoods, schools, parks, and our downtown, making Uxbridge safer, healthier, and more connected.
Accessibility is about more than meeting standards—it's about improving quality of life. I will continue advocating for accessible facilities, thoughtful planning, and investments that ensure everyone can fully enjoy everything Uxbridge has to offer.
